On 11 August 2025, Siwar Organization launched its new program “Together for Building Electoral Awareness” at the Cultural Center in Afrin, supporting the political empowerment process and coinciding with the start of elections for the Syrian People’s Council.
The first session of the program featured a lecture titled “The State, Citizenship, and Political Rights,” presented by Ms. Huda Sarjawi. The lecture addressed the concept and fundamentals of citizenship, highlighted the main political rights of citizens, and emphasized the role of community participation in enhancing electoral awareness.
This event marked an important step toward spreading a culture of political participation and highlighting the importance of electoral awareness as a means to strengthen democracy and social peace.
