From searching for a job opportunity to acquiring a skill that paves the way toward a more stable and confident future.
Mohammad Abdul Razzaq Al-Ibrahim, 29 years old, originally from the Aleppo countryside and currently residing in the Al-Haydariya neighborhood in Aleppo city. He previously worked as a network technician, but the instability of job opportunities drove him to seek a new vocational skill to enhance his prospects in the labor market.
Mohammad enrolled in the Painting Training within the project “Workforce Development in the Construction Sector for Immediate Employment in Reconstruction Efforts in the City of Aleppo,” implemented by SEWAR Organization (Kalkınma Şafak Derneği) in partnership with GlocalShift Foundation and supported by the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund.
During the training, Mohammad gained practical skills in painting and finishing works, alongside communication skills, time management, digital awareness, occupational safety and health principles, and first aid, which boosted his self-confidence and readiness to enter the labor market.
Mohammad says: “Practical life and today’s labor market wait for no one, and academic certificates alone are not enough. Practical skills, experience, and the capacity to produce and innovate are the foundation. Vocational training is the primary gateway to gaining experience and accelerating the path toward a better future.”
Today, Mohammad aspires to secure a job opportunity that provides him with a decent income, and to utilize the skills and experience he gained to build his future and contribute to reconstruction efforts.
